    Corrosion events can occur because, metal is oxidized, while oxygen is reduced. Corrosion in iron cannot be prevented but its rate can be slowed down by making the iron into stainless steel. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of immersion time and the addition of various inhibitors on corrosion resistance of S45C steel in HCL media. The sample used was S45C steel with corrosive media, namely HCL and using a variety of inhibitors including Carboxylic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, and Sodium Nitrite which used a level of 8 mg in each inhibitor. The method used is the observation of the corrosion rate and morphological observations using a cell phone camera on each specimen that has been soaked for a specified time. The process carried out was soaking S45C Steel for 5 days, 10 days and 15 days. The expected result of this study is to know the effect of adding inhibitors on corrosion resistance.
