A fisherman is someone who does fishing activities. The boat used for fishing is fishing boat. Almost all of the components of this boat are made of wood, one of which is a wooden peg. Currently, boat craftsmen in Pagerungan Besar are still making wooden pegs using manual tools. Judging from the working system of this tool, it is still less productive where the results of forming wooden pegs are a lot of human effort, the risk of injury, and the making of pegs is slow. To find out the operator's problems, the authors conducted a study aimed at designing a tool for forming wooden boat pegs using methods that included %CVL physical fatigue, muscle fatigue (NBM), REBA, and productivity. The results of the analysis of the design of the tool obtained %CVL physical fatigue, as a comparison where before the design was > 30% meaning that improvement was needed and after the design the fatigue level was 5.48. Analysis of muscle fatigue (NBM), also decreased, before design, namely scoring 43, the risk of injury that will occur is in the "high" category, which means it needs improvement and after designing, the scoring results are obtained, namely 20, meaning the level of risk of injury that will occur in the category " low". And also REBA analysis, before design shows a "medium" risk level, which means that action may be needed at a later date and after design shows a "neglected" risk level, which means no improvement is needed. Productivity analysis also experienced an increase before the design was carried out, an output of 3.4 units/minute or 204 pegs/hour of wood was obtained. While the output after designing is 7.51 units/minute or 450 units/hour of wooden pegs. Based on the data obtained, productivity has increased by 68.45%.
