Cooperatives as community-based economic entities have challenges in managing operational sustainability and achieving social goals. This study aims to analyze the application of Balanced Scorecard (BSC) as a performance management tool in the Employee Cooperative of PT Kedawung Setia Industrial, Tbk. Qualitative research methods were used to collect data through interviews, questionnaires, observations, and document analysis. This research was conducted at the Employee Cooperative of PT Kedawung Setia Industrial, Tbk from October to December 2023. The application of BSC in cooperative helps in measuring, monitoring, and improving overall performance. The focus on financial aspects provides transparency in the cooperative's financial management, while customer empowerment improves service quality. Efficient internal processes become the foundation for sustainable operations, while learning and growth initiatives contribute to human resource development. The implementation of BSC at PT Kedawung Setia Industrial Tbk Employee Cooperative helps measure and monitor overall performance, ensuring that economic aspects, customer service, operational efficiency, and human resource development are the main focus. The results showed that the performance of the PT Kedawung Setia Industrial, Tbk Employee Cooperative when viewed through the four perspectives of the balanced scorecard can be categorized as quite good. The active involvement of the management, members, and related parties in the BSC implementation process is the key to success in improving the performance of the PT Kedawung Setia Industrial, Tbk Employee Cooperative. This research contributes to the understanding of the concept of performance management in the context of cooperatives and provides a basis for further development in improving the effectiveness of cooperative performance management. The practical and theoretical implications of the findings of this study can help decision makers in cooperatives and researchers in the field of cooperative management.
