    In the fast-paced and uncertain environment of technology startups, software project management requires an adaptive, collaborative, and risk-responsive approach. This study aims to explore the synergy between Scrum methodology and risk management in enhancing the success of software development projects in technology startups. The research was conducted at PT XYZ, a startup undergoing digital transformation through the gradual adoption of Agile practices. This study employed a qualitative case study approach with descriptive analysis techniques. The findings reveal that PT XYZ implements Scrum contextually through a hybrid model that combines Agile principles with elements of the waterfall approach. Risk management practices are not formally institutionalized but are embedded within Scrum processes such as Sprint Planning and Retrospective. The risk management strategy includes informal discussions, limited documentation, and the use of collaborative tools such as Trello and spreadsheets. Simultaneously, the company is fostering a risk-aware culture through informal training, risk onboarding, and the creation of a risk archive. The synergy between Scrum and risk management has proven to enhance the effectiveness of risk identification and mitigation, strengthen team collaboration, and support project success across technical, managerial, and business dimensions. Nevertheless, challenges remain in risk documentation and the optimization of key roles such as Scrum Master and Product Owner. This study recommends strengthening these roles and developing a standardized risk documentation system to help the organization achieve a higher level of Agile maturity and increase project resilience in the face of technological industry dynamics.
